xwardiar,

Brian is still, well...Brian. In love with his job, says good-bye to everyone seated in the section he worked by first name, gets yelled at by the rest of the crew for not pulling his load while he is socializing and is still looking for "the woman of his dreams" still exhibiting confusion as to his lack of success. Life has not changed or embittered him. He's pushing 50 now you know but doesn't look it.

Chris is based in YYZ (working for CDN) but lives in SEA with his partner. You two are close enough geographically to consider getting together. Chris goes up to YVR often, shopping, visiting or commuting. He bunks in at my place when he has early morning checkins or late night arrivals.

Yes I was in the union but not as a grievance officer yet I am definitely someone you would have known. The union rep. you probably spoke with was Marita D., also a good friend of mine. As a further hint regarding me, I was Chairperson of blocking for the last 4 years up to and including the merger transistion with Canadian.

YVR is loaded with ex-wardiar people and also many ex-YYZ fa's that transferred there with CDN. I'd love to get together and rehash history. What I'll do is open a hotmail or some such account and publish an email address for you to contact me.

I'll do what I can to promote a PPrune YVR Bash and invite our historic members. I think we can do this! Luftwaffle has made a good start. Lets help him out.

Luffty, what a wonderful Idea you have had, thanks, I have gone into the aircewman notices and put a post there. I have also asked the administrator to put a header in the start of the forum, like the one that announced the ASH Bash.....lets see what happens. There seems to be a great response so far. Lets keep intouch and we will all figure out a date.

Flygirl, you have me wondering who you are and I have probably flown with you numerous amount of times. Brian is still looking eh, I thought he would of been married by now. How would I get in touch with Chris? Do you remeber a F/A I can't recal his name but always very interesting when I flew with him. I remember one incident on the airbus, where he was blowing cakes up in the garberator.

Do you have or can you get your hands on a Wardair roster, I thought perhaps we could start mailing people re the YVR Bash....just a thought.

Talk to you all soon.

Thumbs up

Hey Flygirl and xWardair
I too am xWD from the YYZ base. Started in 1974. I must know you both. I ran into Brian out near the airport about a month ago, he is still the same as he was back then. What a guy, still loves his job. So dedicated. Yes the Prestwick incident nearly did him in, I remember it well. Would love to chat more with you both.
