Thumbs up is it true

It's well known that flight attendants (girly ones that is) are generally very attractive, slim and highly arousing to the male luggage.

Is it true that you use these attributes in the pursuit of job satisfaction and enjoyment.

OK....Misplaced humour, or attempt at. Please accept my apologies.....

Please see the topic entitled ' My silly daughter' She is certainly young, slim, attractive but totally barmy. I also have a son who sits in the right hand front seat of Airbus. Still trying to fathom out what they find to occupy themselves with. Airbus, as you probably are aware does not actually 'fly' it is merely a very crude form of levitation.

Skytrucker.....!

What a load of C**P. If you think your son doesn't have anything to do in his Airbus then you are sadly mistaken. That aircraft will bite his backside just like any other.

There are Airbus pilots and there are Airbus pilots. Those that just sit there and think that the aircraft will look after itself (these sort rarely become captains and are fools) and those that stay alert and have to work harder than conventional pilots to maintain their raw airmanship and flying skills (these ones may actually save your life one day).

The Airbus is a great tool that rarely goes wrong and has some great features. When things start to go wrong, however, then quick thinking, good flying skills and airmanship are essential to save the day. I hope your son is working hard to prepare himself for his moment of fame or shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well...A3XXX you sure wave the flag for the Airbus !! maybe I give it the jaundiced eye because most of my time has been hard earned in miljets, trash haulers and other difficult stuff. my son, to his great credit made it the hard way paying for his CPL after leaving the RAF as a mech then flew Saab up in Aberdeen for a while before this. Hopefully he will be one of the more intelligent of the drivers of Boeings nearest rival for supreme slot.
Thanks for your response by the way.

I hope no offence was taken skytrucker - none meant!!

I was just sounding off a bit as I get tired of common misconceptions about the Airbus and the way our profession is going.

I am an instructor on the Airbus and flew the Boeing 737 prior to that, so I appreciate the difference between the two concepts.

All I was trying to say was that the Airbus is not the pilot proof and safe plane that people think it is - it is a marvellous machine, but one that needs flying just like any other when things start to go wrong.

Anyway no offence meant, I guess it's too easy to read incorrectly between the line occasionally.

All the best to your sons future - may even have flown with him??
