Hello all,
I'm not sure what other airlines in other countries do, but in the US, there is no difference between the lead FA (whatever their official title is) and the regular FA. But in the customer service department, the supervisors often wear red jackets or something that makes them stand out.
I often work as the CSD on US Airways to Europe. All that indicates that I'm in charge is that it says "Cabin Service Director" on my name tag. I think that maybe my uniform should be different in some way. Like the CS Supervisor's red jacket.
What do you think?

I agree ... I think we should have nice shiny red jackets and special hats to wear so that we can get recognised all the time and get asked millions of questions just as we are about to start the service and then get told how they want to give me their comment just when I need to sort out a matter of urgency .... uummmm then again .... LOL Me Cynical? Never happen!!
"May the allowances be great and the night stops ever-flowing"
By the way the above is to be taken tongue in cheek!!!!!!!
Pinch of salt definitely required

My mother works as a Purser for an European company.
They have gold stripes on their uniform sleeves 3 for Purser 2 for Senior Attendant
1 for Junior 0 for trainee.
Aslo Pursers have a Green vest, a Green serving jacket and a name tag that says Purser.
Business Class has specially trained Service Chefs that have their distinctive serving jackets and have been trained to work specially in Business.

I assume the different uniform you refer to will be made out of DuPont's Teflon. That way when you get abuse from the pax's then it won't stick! ![Wink](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/wink2.gif)
I do think the double brades on the shoulder would look the best. After all, on the ships it's easy to work out what level that person is at.
