WOW this has been a hectic 3 months but I'm sure it will all be worth it! I'm from Perth, Oz and attended the assessment day back in July in Melbourne!

hey all am really confused went for the interviews and passed later on they contacted me to go ahead with my medical actually exactly 2 weeks after which i did but that was like two months ago and have not heard anything from Etihad!!to make matters worse one of the galsz from my int.got a contract and was asked when shed like to leave she chose 16 of sept and that is way passed now and has also heard nothing .
so is this thing really for reall cuz right now it feels like a fantasy gone fake.does it take this long???

Did you contact EY to confirm that they recieved you medicals? couse that what your actually supposed to do. Im with EK and im pretty sure even with EY two months of hearing nothing is not normal. It could be that they didnt recieve you medicals. Dont worry too much and if i were you i would give them a call and see whats going on. Best of luck!

Call Ryan and ask him about the status of your medicals. That's what I did and Ryan is definitely accomodating.
Keep in mind that they are handling hundreds and hundreds of applicants.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for a good photographer in Sydney where I can get my application photo's done? I just spoke to one studio and was quoted $689 - I had to ask him to repeat himself twice...

i think that is a very long time not to have heard from them.my friend went for their interview i think May or August here in Nairobi n she is already flying for Etihad...........her first flight was last Sunday!

i think that is abit too much to pay for snaps! i have read of pple here in pprune who used personal digital cameras to take their photos at the comfort of their home (maybe try check on motherhen in emirates thread)

man youre sick! excuse me for the word but you are insane!!! why dont u pick up the phone and call them call abu dhabi or rayan or cc dept!! just do something!! ure just waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do ureally want this job or its just youre trying stuff?!!!

Twixxie: Whether EY are handling a hundred applicants or not, you should be able to ring them to ask what is the status of your application after having sent you medicals to them. There is nothing wrong with that and they are most accommodating. There is nothing sick about it ziad..lol. Pick up the phone & ring them Twixxie or you will never get anywhere. No use in putting posts on here as we can't do anything about it. Good Luck
jonjonsyd: That price they quoted you is insane! I know I am in London but I was able to get my prof photos done for Emirates for £20. That was me in my suit, 6passport sized and x2 full length. An additional 20 passport sized fotos are needed for me and that will cost another £20. I am sure there you can get it cheaper in Oz that what was quoted. Get surfing the net and find out, or pop into your high street. Good Luck

It happened to me as well, I sent my medical results on 5th Oct. Until now I didn't hear from him. I called him several times, he said he recieved it but has to wait for evaluation. He'll check for me and contact me... but he didn't. I email him before, he just said don't worry, just wait...and now no email reply.
I felt like I don't want to call him anymore.
I knew he's busy to do things for people who join in this Nov. He offered my joining date at the begining of Dec.
But at least, he should tell me if everything is ok. Then I can give a month resign notice to my current company.
Now I can't do or plan anything for myself.
