Part-time/Casual Oz jobs?
Does anyone know if any Australian airlines hire part-time or casuals "off-the-street"? I mean, not having to work for x number of months/years prior to being eligible for part-time or casual work? (and please don't tell me about MAM, I mean REAL casual, not pseudo-casual!)

I don't know of any that do... part time lists in general are *very* long - I know at Virgin Blue its a very long wait - the list has hardly moved at all in 2 years - and from what I have been told there is over 200 people on the list, at each base (BNE & MEL)....

yup.. just like at Virgin Blue..the jetstar domestic part time list is also years long... i think in australian aviation for a full time permanent job you need to do your time first before you can even get a look in at part time.
