Are KL/AF Crew allowed to swap bases (AMS/CDG)?

Hi there,

As KLM and AirFrance have merged into one company, I was wondering if Crew members are allowed to swap bases within the new company? (CDG to AMS and viceversa)

AF and KLM are going to remain separate companies with their own national identity for the foreseeable future. Besides, French and Dutch rules are different. For example, according to the law in France you must hold the CC licence AND speak French to fly on a French aircraft.

Flyblue is right. KLM and Air France crews will remain at their own bases. However, maybe it would be a nice idea in the far future to have the opportunity to change bases.
At KLM we don't have a CC licence yet, however the Dutch cabin crew union is fighting for this now. To be continued...
