Foreign Airlines with UK based a/c?
A while ago I worked for an airline registered in Scandinavia but which carried English local cabin crew, hastily recruited I have to say. The flight crew were a mixture of nationalities from South African to Icelandic. The point I ask is that when a foreign airlines bases an aircraft in the UK, which is becoming more and more regular are the Cabin Crew recruited here or does the airline bring their own foreign based crew and nightstop them in the UK?
Examples:
Futura Airlines a/c in BFS
Hola Airlines a/c in NCL
Spanair in GLA
Air Atlanta Icelandic in MAN/LGW
Islandsflug in BHX
Azzurra in MAN/BRS
MD Airlines in MAN
Also when a UK airline leases a foreign aircraft for a length of time are all the crew of the english airlines staff? I have heard particularly that the new AV8 airline to be based at the centre of the universe, Manchester (I am biased!!!) is to carry Icelandic InFlight Managers.
Info always gratefully received, I get curious even after all these years!!!

tilly666 as far as I gather most of the airlines you mentioned station their own respective crew in the UK for the season of operation, certainly FUA, Spanair and Hola all have spanish crews in the UK for this season.
However it all depends on the airline I suppose as I worked on the old MD80s for a foreign carrier a few years back.
