But you've never asked those questions from the company?! Why?????????

They know that you are married, right?

Qatar Airways Sky Chef

Do Qatar still recruit qualified Chefs for their First Class cabin?

When I was at EK they did but I'm going back to 2008.

Thanks

Qatar Airways Application

Hello

I have read that you had problem when updating your profile in Qatar Airways Job Application webpage.
Did you finally applicate through the webpage, or you found another way to do it?

The problem that I am having shows a message that says: You must select a value in the field "Sources". I have been trying many times, but it still shows the same message

Could you please help me?

Thank you

Mari

Hi Mari......I've told them I am married...but they haven't said anything.
but I just want to ask them when I'll have my medical clearance...that's why I am trying to get as many information as I can....

Just would like to know a bit more about visa, work and stuff in Qatar...and if It's possible or not to take my husband with me.
I've heard women can't sponsor men...only the opposite....that's why I am worried, if it's true,..then the only option for him will be fiding a job which gives him a visa...know what i mean?

husband

Of course it's true. You didn't specify your question. So, you meant the Residence Visa not the Visit Visa, right?

I think you can arrange a Visit Visa any time. He will be eligible for free tickets, as well. (After your probation, I guess.)

No, you or Qatar Airways will not sponsor your husband. He needs to find a job and the employer will sponsor him. If he's here, you can move out, I guess. How much is the Living-out Allowance and Transportation Allowance for Qatar Airways married crew?

You will find out everything soon. Let us know what you learnt.

Waiting period for medicals

Sorry to be a pain. I'm assuming this is a common question. Once medicals have been submitted, how long is the wait for approval/confirmation? Is it generally a week?

All help is much appreciated.

Hi,

I'm coming to the OD on the 24th.
I have been researching the web for more information about life as a Cabin Crew at Qatar Airlines and I'm kinda scared of all the bad stories I found. OK ...it's hard, I can live with that, but for superiors to be rude to you, insult you or disrespect you, that I can't accept.
I'm asking the persons who worked or still work at QA, how is it really?

PS: lara0275 see you Saturday

Buburuza, there are lots of lots of Romanians at Qatar. Many! Have you checked out the Romanian cabin crew forums? (Or Hungarian or other - whatever your mother tongue is.) I'm sure you could find some blogs, as well. You might be able to find more honest and more specific info if you don't search in English.

Qatar is going to have a layover in Buckarest soon, good news for you!!!

By the way, my little niece - I keep mentioning - was hired in Buckarest. The competition is tough, so good luck!

Thanks Mari

Thanks Mari....for being so kind and trying to answer my questions.
I am not a 100% sure yet,,,..but what I heard is that Qatar helps crew marriage with 2000 ryals a month....and nothing else.
I am still waiting to get medical clearance and I'll be emailing them with all the questions.
Mari, you are correct...my husband has to get a job there to be able to get the visa! Do you think it will be hard? He is a sushiman and is been working as a chef for few years now.
How often do companies give visa to employees there? Do you Guys think it is gonna be hard??...
If I try to get him a job with the Qatar Group?..They have a Cathering company there as well.....that's what I've been thinking....actually,it would be the light at the end of the tunel for me, my marriage, my life.....as I don't want to lose this opportunity!...thank you Guys!
