Hi everyone!

I finally received my ticket and visa, flying to Doha on Feb 20.
Hoping that the training would have so much fun and excitement!!!

To those who are still waiting just keep hold on....

thanks dude.. let me know when you are here.. i'll hook you up so for an update, life is cool here.. its freezing cold btw.. its a cold and dry weather so the breeze just gets the cold to your bones.. my lips feel cracked and sandy but anyways im still enjoying it here.. life is good.. there are many rules here, so when you guys are coming be sure to know all of them.. and one rule which they do not joke about is the usuage of cellphones.. cells arent allowed at all.. so dont let them catch you with it.. hope to see you soon clark..

Congratulations to everybody who received their medical clearance and good luck for those who are waiting. Toefike, I think we will be in the same batch. I am traveling on 5th too.

@AVshrey88: yes, I think its a good idea to aks them. If you need to get all the vaccinations, it will cost a lot of money. You know, I only need 2 vaccinations, these are not too expensive here, so I think I will have them before I leave.

@evanova: hi, great news, Im so happy!!! Finally I found a batchmate. Im still waiting for my visa & e-ticket. Do you have received them already? Please send me a personal message with your name and e-mail address, so we can recognise each other in the batch. By the way, from wich country are you from?

@kagezen: Hi, I hope you are, OK and enjoying the training. I wanted to ask you about the cell phones. How do you mean that cell phones are not allowed? When? During training classes and work I hope. But normaly after you finish a school day it is OK, right???

I've been released from jail

after 1 week of ban i'm out now.....
for those who want to know why i was banned, then the reason was that i used words that we don't speak of.....(Text speech to be precise) grammar police

any ways I'm also joining on 27 March. By the way does anybody knows whether QR will provide trouser with the uniform or we have to bring our own?
they mentioned in the email that we need to bring trousers....

Hey,

Today I had another mail from them stating I have Eosinophilia which I truly do not have.

They gave me 48 hours to subject a report about my EosinoWHATsoever condition. I got 3 (!!!) different reports (2 from aeromedicals 1 from another doctor) saying that I am totally healthy, living without Eosinophilia and fit, able and so on to fly. (as I am flying now as well...) Everything within 12 hours.
Hopefully, now the next mail will contain my date of joining or any other news which is not in relation to medicals but to my journey to Doha.

Toefike: I am hungarian as well. Great to know that I am not alone.Where did you have your interview? Sorry, If you have mentioned that before but I cannot remember. I did in Bucharest at the end of November and I am still proceeding with medical reports but hopefully this was the last round.

Same ban thing happened to me as well..
Yes we need to carry our own trouser's and everything
else that we would need to cover our body..

When anyone make it till FI and unfortunately doesn't get through, then
you can't re-apply for six months. It's a company policy and they are strict about it.

Send me a PM with your name and e-mail address, so we can keep in touch! I had my open day and interview in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in December.
Your medical is gonna be OK, Im sure. Sometimes they are asking to get one or more examinations to be repeated or to get new opinion from a doctor based on your results...etc. But as I see, they are speeding up. I got cleared in only 3,5 weeks. However I had to repeat my ECG during that time. So I think in only a few days, you are also gonna be fine.

@ScrapyCoCo: as I know, during the training we are wearing our own suites/costumes/throusers...etc. We will get our uniforms right before the 2 test flights. Thats what I heard. I think the two ladies also mentioned this during the open days.

I really feel pity for you. Medical's are just like vicious circle which could hang
you long or you are out of it in fraction of some time. I can empathize how does it feel.
Anyway wish you luck for this time.

i know that we need to carry trousers... but will we wear our own trousers or it will be provided by QR with the dress. thats my ques.

and as far as covering the body is concerned I'm sure with trousers and and a shirt you can only see my face and hands....(hope thats no offensive.... I'm not the most handsome guy on this planet )

QA will not provide any kind of trouser till the time you finish off your initial training. Before the commencement of your trainee flight's you would be provided with their uniform. I hope that answer's your query.
