Cannes Airport
Get this. Landed in Cannes in a TBM, was charged €130 for landing/handling and parking for approx. 1 hour, after spending €450 on fuel.
not only that, but they moved our aircraft to the far reaches of the airfield and we had to almost demand a lift out to it rather than walk a half mile.
c'est ridicule.

I was in there a month ago on a Sunday in an SR22 Cirrus, only got charged 11 Euros. But it was a private flight with no handling.
But get this, asked at the Total fuel place for oil and was told that they didn't do oil. I had to ask at the Handling Agent and the said that there is nowhere to buy oil on the airfield on a Sunday.
Luckily the plane had enough for the 3.5 hour trip back to the UK but much lower and I would of had to stay overnight until the Monday to get oil.
How can a major GA field not sell oil on a Sunday!!! Crazy!

that's just it.........they are not a MAJOR airfield......you were lucky to get anything on Sunday-bet you didn't have fire cover?

Have been using Chamber of Commerce handling for a few years now in the summer season and have always had pleasant efficient handling. New company who do the a/c washing were a bit slow but did a good job. Place is expensive but then it is a seaonal tourist destination. Hotel Splendid in Town is good value and well placed for walking around and being in the center of town. Nice fish eateries. Tried the new VIP caterers and were delighted with the meals they provided. Another summer vacation for the boss which went well.
