Has anyone visited LICC - and if so who do you recommend for handling? Any contacts would be appreciated thanks.

There ia only one handler who does big and business traffic. U can use argos or others but in the end they will service U. Service is very slow and dependable on the current Ali/RYR traffic on the apron.

We waited for bus for pax 15 mins after shutdown and another 1 hr for fuel .

But it's warm and sunny.

Until not long ago only one handling, and horrible service.
Now you get to choose, situation slightly better.
Try fly service or ATA, they both have their own facilities now.
Dont expect miracles though. Avoid katane like the plague.

LICC

Terrible, terrible service - particularly if you are leaving as soon as the airport has opened in the morning! You know its not looking good, when you can see the pax helo arriving, you still haven't got fuel and customs haven't arrived to stamp your passports. Fuel took 1.5hrs and when customs eventually arrived we had to shuttle crew members between the aircraft customs to get our passports stamped. Luckily the passenger was relaxed about all this - his comment "This is Italy"!

Thanks for the replys - unfortunately all came through after the flight...! Anyway for reference we used Argos - and it all worked very well. Good contact with their ops before and in issuing PPRs - even sent a briefing sheet for the crew with all the local contact mobiles etc. There to meet us with plenty of help with baggage and passenger transport. All in all a good experience. (We did take round trip fuel so cant comment on fuel problems).
