Harrods Aviation

Looking for an Operations Director to report to the Acting Managing Director.

What happened to the two who were there?

Erm "What happened to the two who were there?" - it's got a question mark after it...

In long hand: "What happened to the former Operations Director and the former Managing Director of Harrods Aviation?"

They are also looking for a PA to the Managing Director.

Seems a bit of a wholesale change just wondered whether it was related to the recent announcement about Al Fayed building a new FBO at Stansted.

That will please the current owners of Harrods Aviation, you would have thought there would have been a clause in the contract of sale in 2010 or perhaps there was but the time limit it up.

Well Fayair was the operating name for the "Singer Sewing Machine" salesman's aircraft, seem to remember the name Brian Bullivant was the C.P.

A potted history....

Fayair (Jersey) Co. Ltd was the Chairmans private flight department that was originally based at Luton (Gulfstream) Blackbushe (helicopters) and moved to Stansted in 1995. Subsequently the then facility owned by Hunting (including Heathrow and Luton hangars) was puchased and became Metro Business Aviation and then subsequently became Harrods Aviation.

The Helicopters moved to Stansted from Blackbushe (and the AS-355 from Denham) in 1997 and Air Harrods was formed. The Helicopters from Fayair were sold to Air Harrods eventually.

Bryan left Fayair in 1995 prior to the move to Stansted.

After the sale of Harrods Department store (which included Harrods Aviation and Air Harrods) the Chairman built his own Hangar and is setting up 3rd party handling at Stansted on his own under the Fayair banner. Various individuals from Air Harrods and Harrods Aviation have moved with him including the Ground Operations Director and MD from Harrods Aviation.

Apparently, Sir Paul McCartney and his new wife were the fortunate occupants at the time!

maybe try this report. The only amusing thing about this report is the reg which seems sort of appropriate for this event..
