From my point of view this company is absolutly out of control in their human ressources department. What a disastor of a company.
Waste of time.
Hopefully they make a better impression to their customers. If not - they need more than luck to survive.

My question does not imply anything being "wrong" about the person mentioned, but more about the Vista game of "musical chairs". What goes around comes around, it's just a question when the music stops and where a person happens to be at the time - intentionally or unintentionally. I.e. "revolving door"!!!

Wow - would be so eager to find out what is really happening and who is now running the business and hope it might be worth preparing a CV again in near future without the impression of joining a complete muppet show.

I personally think a few good people were laid off in the past - they took their job seriously and some of them also had innovative ideas - but either were cut down by the muppet fraction or left the company before the hatchet struck.

So people - keep the infos coming so we can get rid of some the rumour-parts.

just like their reputation says...

....hire and fire....

Everything changes all the time....first one grows and grows and grows....and then...bye bye...go home the many of you.

It's like making human experiments.....all are invited to come and then it's like testlaboratory...

What's not needed will be thrown away....

Mr. F. do you really think this is the way to produce an excellent product???

Quality is produced by your employees...wouldn't it be a good idea to treat them loyal and fair?

Just one of a few ideas on my mind...

All the best!

The development in the next couple of months will actually demonstrate if Mr. F actually cares... and these were just the steps to put the company back on the right track. If this is so I guess many employees might even be relieved - for others the step has unfortunatly come too late. But because of the rumour status of this content, we actually don't know anything at all. In my opinion companies that behave like secret societies have a lot to hide and nobody that works there actually has the balls to speak up - understandibly in this case.

They wanted to expand African Ops so putting a South African in command of Operations may be a good thing for a change, as they usually know best how things work there. In my opinion it does not really matter how many jet-hours the man has - much more important is whether he actually has the skills and knowledge of managing the operation properly and being organized and on top of the game without being just another pawn to be replaced after 3-6 Months.

Well said!!

" .....like secret societies have a lot to hide...."

Indeed!

"....putting a South African in command of Operations may be a good thing...."

Well yes, if you could find one that's not in the above quoted.

Thumbs down young gun from South-Africa

Previously was FOD of a failed scottish TP operator, popular for all the wrong reasons, with experience as single pilot cessna F406, FO on the Jetstream 31 and somehow with an ATPL.
No jet experience, not even captain on a multi-pilot aeroplane.

How that young gun made it there is mind boggling!

Vista's Flightopsmanager changes every 3-6 Months anyway - so who cares ? You only speak of his "so called past", wouldn't it be more interesting to hear the current state of affairs ?

They tell you they are expanding and all is fine ... At the same time they fired pilots & office staff . Seems there are too many guys on the Challenger fleet so you are fired and then you learned new guys are doing the initial type rating in Montreal ...

This company is ...

rubbish!

"Previously was FOD of a failed scottish TP operator, popular for all the wrong reasons, "

Well at least he is popular. I mean are we really to take such a comment seriously? Obviously, that a previous employer went under, is not disqualifying. Doing my CV is always "interesting," as 3 former employers have since closed their doors! Happens in this business.......

with experience as single pilot cessna F406, FO on the Jetstream 31 and somehow with an ATPL.

Again...the coach of the US Olympic swim-team has never been seen in the water and no one is entirely certain if he can swim! The Danish cycle coach is a former military commando and he has created a brilliant winning team. So no, your attemts at trashing a man have no bearing on reality...just says more about you, I think! When Henry Ford was challenged by his board at one point, as to what exactly his qualifications were for running the Ford Motor Company, he said..."I have none! But I have a knack for finding the right people and getting the best out of them."

So go bang your head....you are barking up the wrong tree with this line of argument.

How that young gun made it there is mind boggling!

If your mind is as limited as yours seems to be, then I am not surprised!
