Eclipse belongs to a Dutch financier, Roel Pieper, who faces financial troubles of some kind with the financial back up of the factory. Recently there was a media coverage in "De Telegraaf" about this issue. It appears that he managed or is trying to find Russian investors to expand the business but apparently there are many technical shortages found in the company as well as the aircraft. It is said that they will transfer part of the manufacturing to Russia.
Much of this is 2nd hand info but any prudence with the brand would not be damaging....

Also read directly on the analysts homepage RichardAboulafia.com.
Aboulafia was very critical about the VLJ idea and especially eclipse from the beginning, as he is about quite a few other programs (A380 for example). But his monthly article is pretty interesting reading material.

Aboulafia is a moron
The Eclipse 500 was a damn sound design, and the fact that they got the 400 flying in under 100 days says a lot for the company.
Unfortunately they designed and built the aircraft quickly to fill a market niche that was not warming up as fast as they needed.
When I spoke with Raburn (which I don't think Aboulafia ever has) at NBAA (yes, he was there) he was more disappointed about leaving than if he was only in the game to design a couple of aircraft and then get out. He truly loved that company, and is still extremely passionate about the industry.
This isn't his only venture in aviation, and we'll be sure to see him again.
Aboulafia, the Teal Group, and any "futurist" has only been wrong unless stating the blatantly obvious. They've been known to screw up with the obvious. I really don't understand why anyone gives them any form of credit.

The Eclipse 500 was a damn sound design
So, the reports of frequent tire blowouts are incorrect? How about the autopilot dropping offline repeatedly? Engine-out landing due to throttle problems?
That's a sound design?
