Planechartering Recruiting.

Does anyone know anything about Planechartering recruiting for their Kingair?

Base? Pay? Conditions?

Last I heard Kingair had been sold and was soon on its way to Africa.

Is this the same Planechartering that bought Club328 and then went bust in May this year?!!

Hmmm, very odd time to start up with a Kingair V The massive amount of shiny new VLJs and the like.

Why? Over typical short-haul European business trips King Air is only going to be 30 mins or so slower than an as yet to be certified VLJ, plus having at least double the pay load, and half the running costs, with plenty of type rated pilots readily available. King Airs still have a big niche.

This is dodgy...The C90 was almost out of hours 6months ago when Planechartering went under. Since then both the CII's have been advertised for sale (I believe still ongoing as I saw an advert for XY the other day).

Interestingly, on the fleet page the old Planechartering aircraft are shown under the caveat of:

Please note: RentJets owns three private aircraft that are operated by other carriers. Subject to the carrier's requirements, we can arrange to make them available to clients for long or short term charter.
RentJets does not operate it's own fleet as it remains an independent charter broker, acting on behalf of it's clients.
No secret really - a little bit of digging reveals the (previously widely known fact) that the aircraft are still registered to a different company - and at the minute aren't being operated on any specific AOC (Though I will quite happily stand corrected). ACMI leasing a Citation II...now there's a novel concept...also collaborated by the note further down the page:

Safety first

(AOC operators may request a term lease)
Hmm...

Speaking of Plane Chartering, who is operating G-LUXY now and is it public transport?

Dunno about LUXY, but G-SOVA is now listed in Avinode by 24/7.

G-SOVA is sat in the hangar at Biggin with engine issues. Been sat there for quite some time and will probably be there for quite some time yet
