Oh, I know their pilot salaries are in the right area. After all, they offered me a job.

£18,000 for a corporate FA though? Way, way off what an experienced VIP CC should be paid. Sure there are 500 applicants but I'd be very surprised if many of those were experienced in this line of work. No disrespect to the applicants but that's Ryanair/easyJet territory.

Monkeys? Who mentioned monkeys?

Always remember. There is no situation that canot be improved by the addition of monkeys, ninjas or dwarves.

I think dwarves are even cheaper than monkeys, about £16,000 a year.

BlueStream

Hi there

I have accepted a role as cabin crew with BlueStream commencing 1st Feb. I am rather excited despite the negativity on the forum. I do not usually use forums but I am desperate to find more about working for them and as I am 1 of the first 5 crew its proving quite hard.
What are they like to work for? I am expecting teething problems as we are the first cabin crew I am led to believe. Also the salary is ok given that its only 15 days a month. But is there flight pay on top of that? In the advert it says expenses which is a broad term. I would appreciate any information.
Thank you.
Ps Im not ex BA x

Hi Gaynor

Congratulations on the new job! Although you're not ex-BA I'm guessing you're ex-airline and seem to have identified one of the biggest differences already in that you're usually on your own in terms of on board service. Some people prefer it and some don't.

Don't be put off by the "negativity"*. It's purely that the advertised salary is very low by comparison with other companies (unless it's topped up in some way). You ask if there's any flight pay and I don't mean to be rude but was that not covered in the interview? Per diems in this part of the industry are typically paid on top of any salary, range from £45 to £100 per day and are not taxable. Any expenses incurred in the course of your duties should of course be refundable or the norm would be to have a company credit card.

Good luck. Hope the new job goes well.

(*I have no problem with Bluestream. Nice chaps when I met them, they just couldn't afford me.)
