Beech 200 rating
Can anyone out there assist.
I'm trying to establish if there is anywhere in the US where a Beech 200 rating, acceptable to the CAA, can be obtained.

In the United States, no rating other than Airplane, Multi-Engine Land on a pilot certificate, is required to fly the Beechcraft King Air 200. The aircraft weighs less than 12,500 lbs, and is a single pilot airplane.
Only the military in the United States operates King Air's at heavier weights, and pilots training for certain C-12 aircraft can have a Beech 200 type rating applied to their certificate as a result of qualifying for these heavier King Air's.

Not sure about the US side of things but UK CAA will normally recognise a European JAR approved TRTO offering Beech type ratings. In my own training experience Danish Air Transport (www.dat.dk and flight academy) offer beech courses with good value for money.
Good luck.

FSI are approved to conduct the JAA Beech 200 rating at the Wichita (Raytheon) Learning Center. Simcom do not hold any JAA approvals.
The UK CAA will accept type rating training from any JAA approved training provider, no matter where located.
