Which Aerodrome Mk IV
Oh dear, that picture definitely isn't Beirut! Perhaps those were standard issue hangars for all mid-east 'dromes.
Is that a York beside the Connie?
Weren't those great days when you could:
a) Park outside the terminal &
b) not pay a swingeing drop-off fee!

I'm out until this evening. So leaving a good clue that will lead you to the Airfield which was half a mile from here. (UK Airfield 1932-c1939. Built Over.)

Jennings and Darbishire would have cracked this aerodrome by now. Railway Timetables were standard escape issue at the old Reformatory where I was incarcerated.
On the first morning of term The Headmaster would stand on the edge of the football pitch, his dog snarling at his side, field glasses raised and watch tiny figures lugging huge suitcases twice their size stumbling through vast fields of cabbages, turnips and spuds in an ill conceived bid for freedom. Lucky they weren't mined. Inevitably they were apprehended by British Transport Police and returned to continue their sentence altho' several long 'Runs' and notable absences were achieved.

Well done Bear - you have it with Huyton Hill School Airfield. The school re-located to the Lake District presumably to escape Bombing. Harold Wilson was the Huyton Constituency M.P. In the 19th Century Lord Stanley of nearby Knowsley Hall was also a Prime Minister. The station was used by The Royal Family on several occasions.
