All quiet, so in case there are any lurkers out there, this aircrafts likeness to a much more well known design is not entirely coincidental, and is reflected in its name.

The tail reminds me of a Short Skyvan, the canopy forward to the nose, as well as the landing gear are similar to a Zenair, however the obvious connection is the Ercoupe. Is the word "coupe" in its name ?

Going to be offline for a while, so if you get it (and now you have the connection I am sure you will), please move on with the next challenge. Plenty of photo's on the net, but not in Aerofiles.

Not sure when skytrain is due back, so I'll second that answer for you before going home!

Evening all
Just to reconfirm evansb's identification, mine was indeed the Chris Tena Mini Coupe. Some 200 plans had been sold during the 70's, but only a handful actually built.

Your's looks familiar Brian...an American design - 1930's?

Carrying on with the coupe theme; how about the Civilian Coupé 02 ??
Edit: Good call Ken
(relieved really as I haven't got one ready and really ought to go and get something to eat)

Thanks Brian - I have a photo of that very aircraft which I took at Biggin Hill some years back. Nice to see it is still current on the UK register.
Here is the next challenge:
