Blimey!!! It really was built and flew? Or was it a model, Ken?
Twin jet, high wing, T-tail, STOL. Not a blown wing (that I can see) David.

I'm guessing there are few countries that have tried this kind of thing out so can we start thinning out the odds? Is it American?
Edit: planned as a military transport? Rear-loading door/ramp, perhaps?

Not American or Russian Martin.
There were both civil and military applications, but development was stopped. It did have rear doors but no mention of a ramp. However I am sure that was a possibility.

None of those mate, although I guess you would get there by a process of elimination
. I should explain that the design is European. The company built and flew the one and only example in Asia, presumably to keep costs down.

Good evening Ken and Martin.
Reading with interest since I left.
Presumably the Asian country in question would have sophisticated aircraft production facilities, and in my mind that points to Taiwan.

Welcome back David...not Taiwan. This country is not really known for major aircraft projects, although interestingly this would not have been the first such venture whereby it has hosted production of a non-home grown machine.
The manufacturer is not German.
