I almost made it to a spoilsport, because I looked at your clue and thought: Why would an Englishman say 'a bit remote'? It must be on the other side of the world. I thought of New Zealand South Island. But because it was northern hemisphere, it must be on tho south edge. Hawaii! I zoomed in and the first airport was Lihue and it looked pretty good.....
