OK. Thanks mate! ![Thumb](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/thumbs.gif)
Got a tough one, I think. It flew. It's described in Aerofiles but I can't find it illustrated on the net....
Can't stay to monitor the progress. Should I post it or make it open house?

Good evening all,
Chores over now Graeme, so I've had a search through Aerofiles for all the obvious and given features; so that's a mid-wing (pretty high aspect-ratio), but maybe high-wing, single pusher with twin-tail and early '70's
I have come to the same conclusion as Walter Karl (nice to see you back and Best Wishes to you too), that it could well be the Ryson STP-1 Swallow; because it's a mid-wing (powered-glider so the high AR fits), it's a pusher prop and the year fits. Also, Graeme has a photo of it, so if anyone else is going to have one of such an obscure post '50 light aircraft, it's WK!! Finally, how else would you describe that tail than rather like a swallow!! Cannot find anything about it at all, but you did warn us![Smilie](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If correct, it's just odd that a such a design, with that pedigree would seemingly pass more or less undocumented!! Bl
dy good choice Graeme
and well spotted Walter!!

Found a picture of "VW-powered pusher twin-tail modified Schweitzer 2-32" in Popular Science Aug. 1972 p 82. Registration is probably N479S.
"Scoop behind cockpit collects air to cool the engine".
Article claims designer is Claude Ryan, "creator of Spirit of St. Louis".
Walter-Karl has seniority.

Morning gents!
You guys are good.
Well done Walter!
Happy New Year to you!
The Ryson STP-1 Swallow. Open House.
G'day Reg. It was a flying test-bed rather than a production prototype so they used the cockpit section and wings from the SGS 2-32. Nice find mate!
