I have not had a CRT for years mate. The defunct one was only two years old!!! I never buy extended warranties because you end up paying more than the thing's worth, but two years? ![Mad](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/censored.gif)
I think we are seven hours ahead of Lethbridge, so with any luck we'll have something new shortly.

Good morning and good afternoon LM! Yes it will be a good day in my part of the Dominion. Mainly sunny with a high of 24 C is forecast, with a typical southwest wind of 40 km/h gusting to 60 km/h.
The aeroplane in question is piloted.

Thanks mate.
Looking at the engines I think they are close-coupled overwing pure turbojets, and the aeroplane must be quite small......
Then again they might be underwing.

Thanks EvansB, ![Thumb](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/thumbs.gif)
An interesting challenge. Fortunately I recognised the tailplane shape as a Miles design.
From what wiki says, the original is being rebuilt after being badly damaged in a 1964 hangar fire, although its being rebuilt as the Sparrowhawk from which it was converted.
Here's the next one:

Well done Lightning Mate, spot on.
...and there I was thinking the lighter and slower end of aviation wasn't your thing!

Nah mate - I'm interested in all things which fly. I am presently studying the dynamics of a bees' wings - fascinating.
Mind you, you will never catch me airborne in something like the example which you posted!!!!
Nor this, because there aren't any around now:

Lightning:
Full flying stabilator. 3000psi single rudder. Tricycle landing gear. 450knot/0.9 Mach cruise. No real stall speed - dramatic increase in sink rate below 160 knots in unaccelerated level flight, rate of climb around 50,000 fpm on two engines in afterburner, somewhere between 20,000 and 25,000 fpm with one engine shut down.![EEK!](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Full flying stabilator - to avoid compression corners and wave drag when supersonic -

G'day Mechta.
The Dornier Do K.
I'm starting to worry mate...you're not referring to your wife, are you?!

Hi Noyade
Well done, the Dornier K as you say.![Thumb](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/thumbs.gif)
No this hound (callsign 'Bomber' - don't tell LM, he'll think he's got to shoot it) next to me on the sofa is definitely one of the four legged canine type. Mrs Mechta is relegated to the armchair, much to her annoyance!
P.S. Just remembered, I forgot to add 'Over to you!'
