Bingo! Well done Skytrain10, I'd never heard of it until an hour ago.

I was abroad for last year's Popham show too, so I'm quickly losing track of what's new at the lighter end of the scale. I'm particularly keen to see the new SSDR sub 115kg aircraft designs.

I think I had heard of the Spamfield event. I've not been, so that's one for next year's calendar.

Over to you!

Have not found an image to check but could it be a French Weymann design CTW201 or 210 as it seems a bit Cierva C.19 derivative

Doug....you are very nearly there....its not the CTW-201 or 210. I can't find any details on the 210, but you are VERY close with the 201.

Well done, , yes its the Weymann CTW-200 autogiro from France. Just 1 produced in 1932. Main difference from the CTW-201 was a closed cockpit and single tail plane unit.

Over to you one11

Sorry for the gap , PPRuNe was down for a while so other things took over. This shape was once very popular amongst designers, if not in the market....

Good afternoon one11,

Is it the American Wheelair IIIA ? It appears to have no rudders!!

If correct, then please declare Open House as I'm offline in twenty minutes or so.

Apparently the winner of a design competition in "Popular Science" in 1944 and one built in 1947

SincoTC has declared open house
