I can't locate a photo but would it be the Do317? It seems to fit the description. RR

How about an Arado? An early prop-driven version of the 234 perhaps?

Is it the Blohm and Voss BV 142-V2/U1 ??

Evening Mel, I'm glad you just posted; Ref my post #7865, I just wanted to pass onto you what I had found out regarding the SAB variants as these things are often ambiguous, but I didn't want it to appear that I was querying your answer! I was in a hurry to get away and I probably didn't phrase it very well.

It looks like Mel has beaten me to it if it is the BV, but it would have to be Open House anyway as I'm Off-line in a few minutes. Another Good Challenge

SincoTC.
No problem I agree the information regarding many of these older aircraft is very often ambiguous. Not just the older aircraft but many of the newer ones. On Avia Quiz recently they were after the manufacturer of the Russian L-6 Amphibian Aircraft. One reference gives Aero Volga, another Chaika and a third LADA.

MReyn ,you have got it : Blohm&Voss BV 142 (millitary version of the V2 as pointed by SincoTC).
You have the control .
