G'day Graeme, Afternoon LM and welcome teusje!

Is it a Fokker F IX ?

They were used as transports by the Zrakoplovstvo Nezavisne Države Hrvatske before it was renamed The Croatian Battle Force in 1943.

I thing our new friend has beaten me to the military version built by Avia and called the F.39 !

Afternoon to you TC.

So there I was patiently going through a list of every foreign aeroplane ever used by Croatia, and thinking I was the only one on-line.

Thankfully I can stop now, since you got there first.

Fortunately I still have a private challenge to solve so I won't get bored.

Welcome to the thread teusje - where did that name come from?

Be warned, sometimes it moves very fast indeed.

David

Hi LM,

I stopped work for a lunch break and got lucky with Graeme's further revelations, sorry if I've spoiled your afternoon! However, I think that newboy teusje has pipped me to it with the final details, as I fear that the F.IX didn't have the ventral turret that was added when Avia built them as the F.39

Back to work again now so OH if correct, but I think it's an ominous opening shot from teusje, if so, well done

Well gentlemen,

If I did get it right, it'll be Open House, as I won't have a lot of time to check back often.

Work, work ,work...

That will be a pity I think.

Noyade should be on-line around 2200 GMT.

The name

Hi LM

Totally missed your question about my name earlier, but it was just the name my mom gave me at birth. Though I must say it's pretty uncommon even here in The Netherlands.

Goedenavond teusje.

I flew in Germany as part of 2nd Tactical Air Force in the late 70s (Jaguars), based at RAF Bruggen, which was on the Dutch border at Roermond.

However, I do not recognise your handle address.
