I was nearly right! I don't think there were single-seat F-89s at KEF, though. I think they were Js?

Scrub my F-89 comments - wrong!

If you take the image and fiddle with it I think you can see the tip tank starting at about mid-way along the canopy. I'm sold on the F-89 idea now!

RR, I hope that your Lagos trip goes well and that the new "experiences" are all good ones!.
I'm avoiding those experiences, thanks!!

Evening to you guys.

Or perhaps an F-89 Scorpion.
Autopsy reveals that David's gun was the first to cause death. Nice shooting mate, must be the fighter jock in you! Your control.
The resident KEF squadron (57FIS) did operate them for a while.
G'day Ken!
The caption states that the 'Sunset Scorpion' in the photo is a F-89D operating with the 57th FIS. Cheers.

I assure you Martin, there was no tampering of the evidence. We're a very honest bunch here at CSI Australia.

Tampering with the evidence? Definitely not! So you confess?! You're under arrest, stay right where you are, we'll be with you shortly.

Speaking of crime, was it big news over there when Jon Venables was arrested? Hardly caused a stir here but I suspect a lot are too young to remember. I had a 3-year old son at the time and remember it vividly.

Morning/evening all.

Nice video RR. I must admit that my trip in one left me a little unimpressed. I then flew my host in the Lightning and he was totally bemused by the amount of thrust compared with the 104 (although not impressed with the fuel consumption).

Nice post Graeme, and it certainly sparked off some interesting comments.

I played with various profiling on my computer overlaid on to the silhouette and the CF100 just didn't fit. I came to the conclusion that it was a ground shot. The Scorpion tip tank profile fitted exactly.

I'm just concocting another challenge. Please excuse a small delay whilst I get it ready.

LM

RR....Rain in Wales....not seen any now for 2 weeks! Mainly clear blue skies....and another one today! Hope Lagos is not proving too much of an experience!

Graeme...yes the Bulger case has been in the headlines for the last few days....mind you the threat of BA cabin crew strike action has now taken over the top spot!

LM...looking forward to the concoction!
