Missed again, but the aim is getting better. It's seen flying over Iceland with an Arctic sunset in the background.

I'll check the bullet holes in the morning. Night!

Is the whole silhouette original or is there some "artistic licence" in this?

only between meetings! Back out to the fray soon....... So, its banking right,, hence the curve at the rear? The long nose is troubling me too!

Isn't it also odd that the pilot is sitting forward of the E-seat?

I'm in the office too. Also assuming banked right. What about something like a Meteor NF with the long nose?

Since the Meteor wasn't equipped for flight refuelling, and this is over Iceland, I think the guy has got a problem....

Or perhaps an F-89 Scorpion.

THe Scorpion wouldn't taper off like that towards the tail, would it?

Evening guys, Things have been very hectic at work, which has curbed my "playtime" since the weekend and will not get any easier for a week or so. But I think the partial shots make a pleasant change!

RR just said "THe Scorpion wouldn't taper off like that towards the tail, would it?"

Wouldn't that profile be from those massive tip-tanks if its banked? Of course the same comment would apply to the Thunderjet

Well, yes it would, hence my banking reference earlier. I'm not sold on the F-84 idea at all but it was the best I could do. It may well be the Scorpion. Let's see.....

As far as I know, no single-seat F-94s or 89's operated from KEF! (now tell me I'm wrong!) Martin

Do any of you boys have the feeling that Skytrain will chip in casually with the correct answer at any moment???? Where is he????

Ho hum, work calls again; I'll try and look in again later, so keep up the good work guys.

RR, I hope that your Lagos trip goes well and that the new "experiences" are all good ones!. Glad to see that you're able to keep in touch so far.

Sorry guys, been busy of late...I see my name has been mentioned in vain!

For what its worth I would go for the F-89 Scorpion. The resident KEF squadron (57FIS) did operate them for a while.

I think the "tapering off" appearance towards the rear is actually caused by the wing tank which has crept into view as its banking.
