2043 + 18 = 1443, or are we sticking to 24 hrs then?
I was at Gatwick when Virgin started...those were the days!
I had heard that Virgin had used their own crew for this ad.....including Captain Iamaright Pratt!!

I am very very sorry for holding up the forum.
Could not react earlier.
Thanks for the additional photos and explanations on the flying square.
Open House please (which I think is already in effect)

I tried magnifying the 'blackness' looking for brush strokes and any tell-tale signs of the original outline and so I had my head pressed against the monitor for a closer look when my wife caught me. She called me an idiot. I'm not an idiot, am I? Tell me you all do this? Right!? ![Wibble](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/wibble.gif)
It didn't help anyway. It looks an odd design for 1942? I tried filling in the gaps again and the tail reminded me of the Albatross so maybe a De Havilland design?

Don't worry Graeme, my wife has the same opinion (of me that is!). I do exactly the same.
Sadly I had wandered off on the wrong track on this one...couldn't see a prop/spinner at the front so assumed the engine was somewhere hidden in the blackness. Your modifications made me think again!

Not once it's been through Photoshop you won't.![Wink](https://www.pprune.org/images/smilies/wink2.gif)
Here's a photo of the one-off mock-up:

Designed by David R. Davis as a long range fighter, and appeared in 'Flight' in 1942. It's obvious why he called it the Manta.
Good shooting skytrain - the floor is all yours.
