Short wingspan, large torpedo, requirement for a high undercarriage Maybe it was to be launched from something, or perhaps not expected to return? Japanese?

Nope not Boulton and Paul.

This project was drawn up in 1940 and I believe Neville Shute was involved in the design but it was never built.

Well done LM

Burney Satellite Torpedo Bomber/Fighter

It was intended to be carried by the Burney Amphibian ‘Aerial Aircraft Carrier’ (see below) 4 at a time!

Wingspan of 17ft Length of 26ft and powered by an unspecified 600hp engine.

Good challenge John....certainly a new one on me. The "mothership" looks very Russian in its design.

Whats LM got for us?

Thanks Skytrain,

still can't sort it all out. Apparently the the Satellite aircraft were to be stowed inside the wing of the 'Mothership'! Deploying and then recovering them would have been interesting lol!

With that subtle response, would this be German....there are close resemblances to early Focke Wulf designs, such as the A16 (although I realise its not that).
