VTI Novi Avion
How come those wing-tip missiles appear to be pointing downwards? Can't be good for aerodynamics, can it? They look straight on the cutaway. Maybe the modeller was in a hurry and thought "bugger it, that'll do, its never gonna be built anyway."

Spot on one11! Saw it listed in "What Cockpit" and thought everyone may have forgotten all about it by now. Foolish thought!

Not the Letov. Probably no great surprise that it was an unbuilt project featuring an "all terrain" undercarriage

"all terrain" undercarriage
Which has a Kalinin (K-7) look to it.
From the front it looks a little like a stripped down HP.42 but I can't find any Handley Page project to match.
On the other hand, it's ugly, therefore it must be French. (No offence intended Richard).

Like I said, it's beautiful. I wonder why such a practical looking machine was never built?

Not Smithy. Although this guy had had his designs built by several companies ( but none in Australia) , including one model that carried his own name, he later built a business in a different field of civil aviation.

Thats most of the clues used up ..............

Geoffrey Wickner?

(Gotta go. Have to turn on the Christmas lights and sit on the porch, ride shotgun, and make sure no bastard nicks my decorations. We're still thieving colonials here.)

Not Geoffrey Wickner.

The one that carried his name was a joint project with a fellow Australian, who was also part responsible for the challenge subject, but was built by Airspeed.

I ll be offline for a bit too, giving time to assess the evidence. Cheers Doug

Not Wackett......the Australian ancestry of this designer is probably little known although the actual name has a strong Southern Hemisphere connection.
