Morning Guy's, just a quick note before the day's work commences.
As far as I'm concerned, RR correctly identified Richard's Shin Meiwa challenge, I was responding to RR's doubts about his first call and was just passing time, poking around in the dark corners of aviation history whilst awaiting Noyade's verdict on Bradenav's lightning response to his challenge, I'm sure he went to bed contented that it would still be unsolved when he awoke! It appeared from the lights on when I went home, that Bradenav, after RR's reminder, was watching but withholding comment until that verdict arrived.
Graeme, in fact the drawing on my last post showed some differences to the challenge ones, as I was concerned that my initial agreement may have put RR off the scent!

and an interesting callenge
Home Built Kits & Plans
As far as I know it reached a mock-up stage but I doubt a flyable jet was ever made? So I'll reveal it and make it open house. It was the Aero-K AK-1 Jethawk...

Morning to you Martin!
No closer to solving this mate and I spent too much time playing with a new chainsaw!
Looked at some Fokkers.
Looked at Polish aircraft.
Looked at some more Russians.
Now I'm concentrating on the Americans. Thought I had it with with a Stinson SM-2 Junior but the wing bracing is a lot wider. There were quite a few other close calls but there was always one 'small' detail that didn't fit.
How am I going? On the right track?
(LM, there's a letter in your mailbox)

Americans
Some of those other "close calls" included...
The Wallace B-330 Touroplane.
Travel Air 100.Travel Air S-6000B
A few more Stinsons.
Star Cavalier B
St. Louis C2-60 Cardinal (long shot)
Monoprep 218.
Monoroach 275.
Monocoupe 90
A couple of Fairchilds.
Dare I ask, any of those companies close to the mark?

One more post! Not sure, but it looks like a bunch of spectators milling about in the background under the engine. To me, this confirms a modern photo that has undergone the RR silhouette process of a restored American vintage aircraft at Oshkosh...
I'm nowhere near the answer, am I?! lol.
Cheers. Night.
EDIT: Just read the posts above. Aimless searching confirmed! The French!? I didn't even consider them!?
Is it a SIPA!

Yes, European, and built pre-WW2
To have the man with a seemingly huge file of data (Noyade) and the light aircraft expert (Skytrain10) both baffled is good!
