Must admit I was expecting to go through various European makes prior to getting to Iran! Still you are right....now I just need to have a make/model.

So I'm guessing its a Shahed of some type ... still looking....

I'll take a guess at the Shahed 285 as i don't have a picture of it

Nope, not a Shahed (incidentally I believe the 285 is an attack helicopter similar to a Huey Cobra).

This one is on the internet, although the 3-view is from Janes.

In fact the 3 view appears on several different websites.

How about the IHSRC(PANHA)-287 light helicopter?

I can't find any photos or drawings as yet, only a reference to a Janes document, same applies for the AVA-505.

Usual T & C's in the unlikely event of being correct as off home soon!

Well done SincoTC...its not the Panha 287, but it is the Aviation Industries of Iran (AII) AVA-505 Thunder helicopter. The 3 view is from 1999 and it was expected to fly in 2002. Whether this happened I do not know. I cannot find any photo, so I'm guessing it may not have progressed, or no-one has seen it!

Thanks Skytrain10.

I have just found the 3 view drawings on a very useful site, now bookmarked for future use!

Open House please as will be offline soon 'til lunchtime tomorrow.

At least I will be when the rain eases up! A very appropriate choice RR; it would be able to take off from the car park at this rate!
