However, since it looked a certainty, perhaps we should let the water run under the bridge and carry on.

RR & Mel, please check PMs.

I Guess there may be more to it than a sub species of Avro 504, but if not I'll propose an Avro 504K

One11 you have it . It is identified as an Avro Biplane on a Public Warning Poster published by His Majesty's Stationery Office in 1915 advising the public to familiarise themselves of British and German Airships and Aeroplanes. I believe it was based on the Avro 504.
You have control.

.talking of the obscure,
Curse you and that 'magic' book of yours! Like LM I'm stumped by it's purpose. Surely its not pilot at the back and passengers in the front fuselage like a Fleetster 20? Seems very out of date for 46-47?

Yes, Richard , the SNCAC NC800 Le Cab, a somewhat over-engineered re-invention of the Fox Moth.with 2 240 hp Renault sdriving contra-props, 2 crew, and just 4 four passengers. I guess the anticipated market was a revival of the nationwide Taxi service operated pre-war by Air Blue with Caudron Simouns. My info was that sanity prevailed and it only got to the mock up stage, as here......

You have control Bradenav

Cheers Doug

I think it may be the Savary Biplane of 1910

If so, "open House" as I'm off home now!
