T-28 lookalikes.

evans b has it spot on with the Hispano HA-100 Triana. It was designed by Willi Messerschmit's expat team and had the alternative designation Me100 for production in West Germany ( I think the Piagggio 149 won out over it ).
I've been hogging the website again. So I'm opting out on chiglets challenge for the moment.

In a word.....No
Clue, the manufacturer designed and built a few "pretty" [to my eyes at least] aeroplanes, especially in late WW11.....

To me, that looks like the IAR-99 Soim from IAv Craiova in the mid-eighties.

Soim, incidentally, means Hawk - what a coincidence.

I seem to remember doing a lot of comparison work on various training aircraft, including this one, in the late eighties.

Didn't know that the firm was around in the late forties/ fifties, though, romanian aviation history (like so many other subjects) not being one of my strong points.

Sorry about that Chiglet!

GG, you have control.
Last time someone said that to me he didn't stop screaming until he ran out of breath! Odd, it seemed quite a safe manoeuvre to me.

Try this for size - it looks a bit like the midget love child of a Ju-52 and a Skyvan.

GG

Must go now, visitors!

I believe it's the GAFHawk 125. Original design was a highly reworked Pa-22 Tripacer

Not to be cocky, but if it is, anyone who wants has control (can't post anything just now)

I think Jamesel must be right. Wikipedia doesn't have a picture, but does include this sentence:

Certification proved elusive, however, and Hawk eventually abandoned the project without building any other examples.

I didn't know there was an aesthetic requirement in certification.

Jamesel is correct - GafHawk 125 it is. Over to anyone who can for the next exciting episode, I haven't got anything to hand at present.

OK, OK did anyone else spot my deliberate mistake, right click on the picture and select properties? I must remember not to include the name of the d@#ned aircraft in the file name. That's what comes of doing it in a rush. Doh!!
