Silhouette challenge
Am I correct in thinking that this was originally designed as a communications aeroplane?
The engines of the Sipa look a lot longer than in the silhouettes.
However, WK is usually correct......

Walter-Karl has it. The first SIPA S.70 silhouette represented the version shown in mock-up form at Paris 1946. Three years later in 1949 the "Observer" book strangely chose to include it but without a silhouette.....
In 1980 "French Postwar Transport Aircraft" Chillon, Dubois & Wegg for Air-Britain included the second silhouette as "no photographic evidence is known" but said that a prototype had flown by July 1949. The only web reference found was on a balsa modelling site.
Over to you Walter-Karl

Thanks Doug for the photo and info. I could be the photo depicts the mock-up. I have seen a photo of the aircraft carrying the F-WCZI registration and
with stripes along the forward fuselage and on the tailfins. One source (donot remember which) even claims that engines were two Argus As-10C of 240hp each. The design team apparently included Mr. Yves Gardan
Open House please!

Or it could be another SIPA.
