Not SaRo, not Fauvel, and not a Barnes-Wallis creation......

Right boys, what now? Another clue? The designer group is better known for much larger machines, normally high-winged.

The Antonov E-153 Glider.

Never heard of it before. Thank God for the internet, and clues. My depiction of the silhouette is completely wrong, being more of a delta wing in shape?

Exactly Noyade!!!! The Antonov E-153 "Masha". It was the glider to prove the concept for the Antonov M-1. You have control and I'm off to bed! RR

Thanks RR. Nice challange and clues. Please don't interpret inactivity on the thread as lethagy, we're all out there looking but they're becoming bloody hard lately!

(And that "mouth" seen on the silhouette is actually part of a painted(?) cross on the nose, possibly for ground tracking purposes?)

Is there a plan view available?
Sorry Rats404, I only just saw this request. There wasn't another view that I could find. Here she is in colour...
Hope you feel better by the way!

Look like something I have seen before, for a change. Wonder what.

And wonder where I put the book.

It looks a little tubby around the middle, could it be the North American O-47 observation aircraft?

As I'll only be online sporadically over the weekend and I'm off home now, please declare "open house" if correct!
