something from Caproni?
A simple question but I can't give you a simple answer. It is listed as Caproni in one source, but another manufacturer in another source! The other is NOT Siai Marchetti.

I'll shoot for Gypsy sixes.
They weren't Gipsy sixes but there is a connection.

Interesting story of a "typical European pre/per/post WW2 project".

QR.14 Levriero
That's the one HappyPass, well done.
Airwar refers to it as a Caproni, but other sources show it as Marinavia.

HappyPass has control.

Thanks.
Airwar says it was designed by two members of a firm controlled by Caproni (Costruzioni Aereonautiche Taliedo), so no direct involvment.
Edit: Also work was resumed after the war by Marinavia, as Reg says.
I'm leaving in half an hour so please OH.

The Marinavia reference in Airwar Giggle-translated, slightly edited (post-war):
In 1946, the aviation company Marinavia decided to resume work on the aircraft and provided funds for conducting the tests. First flight took place on 3 October 1947. After a successful test flight, civil certification was given and registration number I-MFTA allocated. The aeroplane won prize Premio Milano 1947. This made possible signing of the contract to produce 25 aircraft, but in the late 40's in Italy, the economic crisis wiped out all these plans.

Sorry boys, I forgot to shade the fin/rudder! I should also say that the machine pictured seems to be a rarity in that it has an enclosed cockpit. I can't find an image on the web of one like this. Normally it is a two-seater, open cockpits.
