Thanks LM. It's 2200 HRS here and I just finished an evening shift. Something a little different..my older brother drew this when he was 13 yrs old (a long time ago!). It's not hard when you consider my location. If it's identified quickly, just continue on, I'm off to bed...

Yep, yep, yep, Skytrain10! Well done. It was a French(?) design of the early 1940s, built as a test aircraft for future transport gliders. I believe it was built in Germany. RR

Thanks RR, an interesting design and very typical of Delanne.

Thanks skytrain10. Following on from RR's idea, another glider, but this one carried a V-8 engine to assist performance...

I'm wondering where the engine is.....

Presumably "carried" inside.

It is skytrain10. The suction wing glider. I've read that insects blocked the inlets during trials and destroyed the concept.

The balls back in your court skytrain10, see you tomorrow.

Thanks Noyade...must admit I had not heard of it until today. Found reference to it on wiki but it didn't mention the engine...then did a little digging and came up with it!

As I am busy this afternoon....Open House.
