Thanks Reg.

Regards the UAV/RPV question...piss'em off!
We have had all sorts of things on the thread, including projects which never flew, hypothetical designs, unmanned balloons, UAVs etc.
Get rid of them as well! Piss'em off!

Didn't fly with a man in it....don't post it!

Projects must outnumber flown aircraft by a 1,000 to 1...

Well, you did ask.

Open house.

Night!

Could this be the one that Pierre Closterman designed and built in Brazil in the 1930s?

Edit: No, its not.

Morning!

I think we have gnawed the bones of UAVs and missiles quite bare, anyways.
I don't think so, Reg... there are simply too many of 'em!

can we have an agreement that challenges must have designed, at least as the basic type, to carry a pilot?
That's ok with me, even though I'd pick variety over consistency in this particular case...
I we do this, we eliminate a whole dimension (in the sense of axis) to the search imho, which in the long run is going to render the search itself more boring, because we're going to ask ourselves the same questions every time.
Hell, I don't see why we shouldn't post a fictional once in a while, just so that we stay sharp...
I remember that LM (iirc) once said that a repost once in a while (say, of an old post, from a new angle etc) can do no harm because has the potential to catch people by surprise.
Occasional and well-meant rule-breaking shouldn't be considered such a big deal, imo.

Didn't fly with a man in it....don't post it!
I think unflown projects are the ones which provide the most interesting stories, so why should we eliminate them?
If you want me to pick a genre to be expunged from SC, I'd say 172-like high-wing GA, that's boring!

Anyway, I'm pretty new here and will comply with Your decisions on the matter, but I thought I could as well share my .02 £...

Sorry for opening a hornets nest on the subject of UAVs etc... I guess we all like different stuff and some may like them, like others have a liking for the Spam-cans (Cessana 172 types). Its horses for courses and so ignore my thoughts and carry on as we were!!!

Looks like we're staying as we are then.

I just knew that Graeme would respond something in that fashion.

Martin,

Your challenge looks distinctly European, maybe French. Am I correct?

Hello Ken!!!! Hope you are well!

Well, it was the Koku Ki107 - a one-off built for trials in Japan.

You have control, Ken!

I guess we are looking from rear starboard?

Is it a yank, David? Single engine, delta with endplates?
