Medwecki HL-2 "Haroldek"

Medwecki HL-2 "Haroldek"
Brief summary from Polish: This was the first independent design of Joseph Medwecki, who worked at Poznan Aircraft Factory. He had taken evening courses in aerodynamics under professor Mockrycki.
Medwecki built his aircraft, with the help of his friends in 1926 - 1927; first wood-work in the attic of a house he had rented, and then assembled it in an empty hall of a train station, provided free by the station manager who was interested in aircraft. The Anzani 3 cyl 35 hp engine was on loan from the factory. The aircraft was named HL-2 after the American comedian Harold Lloyd (HL-1 being presumably Mr. Lloyd himself - Ed. comm.). It received a nick-name "Haroldek". It was painted bright red and it sported a pair of spectacles, Harold Lloyd style.
The main objective was to participate in the First National Aviation Competition in Warsaw 6-9 October 1927. The plane was flown from Poznan the day before the competition, but had to make a forced landing because of a broken fuel tube. It was fixed, but the plane was allowed to start only out of competition. Calculations show that it scored a few points more than the winner along the way, but its engine quit on one leg of the competition, and later the frame was damaged on transportation in a truck.
Despite not finishing the event, German Flug-Sport featured the HL-2 in its cover, in connection with an article about the competition.

David I must admit Goggle was my friend, I did a search for Harold Lloyd's aircraft and it came up.
Here is the next one sorry that it is not clear, rather rushed I am afraid.

Not the Hawker LA610. Not sure if Heston had any involvement on this design. The design work on the aircraft did not proceed but work on the annular radiator for the engine continued.

Just to clarify a point, one of the rules of SC is:-
You may not find the 3 view drawing I published but there is reference to the aircraft on the web together with a artist's impression.
7. Please make sure that when submitting a challenge from your own sources there is some reference to it on the web, be it a photo, artists impression or 3-view.
