G'day Ken!

Japanese
I'll run with that. Looks a little "Tachikawaish".

Tachikawa Ki-72...?

An advanced version of the Ki-36 featuring a retractable undercarriage and powered by a 600 hp Hitachi Ha-38 nine-cylinder radial driving a three-blade propeller was designed by Tachikawa under the Ki-72 designation but was not built.

So not US, European, Russian or Japanese, and I'm presuming not Chinese either? That should in thoery make the task easier! So it could be the rest of the America's, Africa (unlikely), Asia (maybe) or Australia (possibly?).

Evening Graeme...hope all is well?

RD, I see looking back over the thread that you appear to have upset the sensitve soul......is he too old for the male menopause I wonder?

Hi Ken,

Your guesswork would be correct about the latter statement...

So it could be the rest of the America's, Africa (unlikely), Asia (maybe) or Australia (possibly?).
RR

Edit: Not Chinese, Ken

Well, assuming a correct interpretation of your clue, I know where I'm looking! And if I'm right its not exactly a country well known for its aircraft industry!

German designer?

Taking Bolivia back to the list. Something that brewed up from the guerra del chaco

Must be Nicaragua, then. After all, they declared war to Germany and Japan, and, some say, to Finland, too, which piece was not part of in the Versailles peace treaty. This has led to a long-lasting discussion in Finland about the possibility that the war is still on….
