I recall seeing a line up of 145sq marked Lightnings on the line at Coltishall when I visited in 1970..

Thats it !! RAF Coltishall. Closed at the end of last year when the Tornados decided to go elsewhere.

As a very long shot, because I don't recognise the hangar....but Shropshire Aero Club had Austers and a red 'n white Tripacer at one time.....Sleap?

Not Sleap. The hangar is distinctive. The aircraft on that day were a mix of visitors and based, typical of the place although that particular day there were more visitors than usual.
