I kept on searching for French writers and I finally got it this afternoon, during the "conseil de classe" at my daughter's school. The French teacher had a book by Honoré de B. on the table in front of her.

Many problems (including a sticky one) prevented me from being as successfull as my (phonetic) homonym.

More than two days without an answer, we prolly can call this thread dead.
If someone ever reads it, here is another clue :
I was was called the same name as my homonym as I was a response to him, and we would have been fighting if I had been successfull.
Many problems (including a sticky one) prevented me from being as successfull as my (phonetic) homonym.
