LNS, know the feeling!

A simple one -

Unlike my namesake, I had to hunt my prey.

How about the Breguet br 940 Vultur?

Vultures don't hunt.

Saab Dastard

Seems to be a little number mismatch :

The Vultur is the name of the Breguet 960, 963 & 965
The Breguet 940 was the prototype of the 941 (already mentionned in this quizz)

Only just checked into PPrune, sorry for the delay!

A 19th Century writer, journalist and man of letters was honoured by having this aircraft named after him.

Tupolev ANT-20 Maxim Gorky ?

Although he died in 1936, so he's a bit of a 20th century writer too

I kept on searching for French writers and I finally got it this afternoon, during the "conseil de classe" at my daughter's school. The French teacher had a book by Honoré de B. on the table in front of her.

Are you the Dassault Balzac ?
(VTOL version of the Mirage III)

Merci

Many problems (including a sticky one) prevented me from being as successfull as my (phonetic) homonym.

[Edited to remove "busy" message]

More than two days without an answer, we prolly can call this thread dead.

If someone ever reads it, here is another clue :

I was was called the same name as my homonym as I was a response to him, and we would have been fighting if I had been successfull.
