Norse Mythology?

American?

Some other standard questions:

Civil or Military?

Jet or prop?

Post WWII?

Bre:

The mythology is Greek I guess in that the the first written account I've found is Herodatus out of Egyptian lore. Tho it could be Harry Potter for all I know.

But not a bit Brit.

Saab:

Not Norse (but quite a lot from the North)

All American

Civilian (but a bit military)

Prop

Post WW 11 ( but the sixth is definitely pre)

You're working hard, but I am not from Lockheed, neither are any of the others.

Not STOL but unconventional in all events. BTW to your single question I'd add that a couple of the others weren't.

Are you a member of the X-plane series?

Edited to say: Obviously not as one of them was pre war and the X-prog didn't start until 1946. Doh

No not part of the X programme as you said. Quite the opposite end of tech.

Apparently there is going to be, or already is, another version of me. That's gone quiet. I don't know what's got into it.

Human powered?

Like the Daedalus Project's Daedalus, Light Eagle, Daedalus 87 and 88 - or the Gossamer Condor/Albatross? That's 6, but there's a whole lot more working HPAs from outside the US. And I suppose there's Leonardo's design from the 15th century!

Again very creative, fitting closely to the clues - amazing - but not human powered.

My power actually came from one of the others which was a piston single, but supposedly came from another one of the four that's a piston twin.

P/W R-1340. Conventional fuel. Supercharged radial, so not a motorglider.
