Subsidiary Crewing Issues
Bugger me - so now I know there's no spelling test in the ATPL exams.

If they want to solve the pilot problem, create a merged list, similar to the Australian Airlines / QF merger.

RY making the most noise to help one silo but doesn’t understand the repercussions for all the others. I’d put money on it ending in tears / making the issue worse rather than better.
Anyway, back to the rumours:
Makes a lot of sense, I wonder if it’s too far down the path.
When this has been brought up before, or merging seniority lists/ghost numbers, the subs are always told it’s all too complex and where would it end and they would end up in court about who goes where and gets what benefit. Is there a best way to do it?

There will always be a self interest to have DOJ as the ultimate deciding factor. However if mainline is the list, then you all join on the bottom in rank. With some sort of command protection on your exisiting fleet. If you bid off that fleet, then the date you joined the mainline list is what your seniority number will buy you.
It’s the only fair way of doing it. If your original start date in the group becomes your seniority date, it just penalises the hundreds of pilots ahead of you who gave up their group date to join the bottom.
You’ll also have to shave.

Well , that was easy.
I gather all we need to do now is inform all the other duplicated areas that there are strategic imperatives to be met.

However, regarding the Alliance E190 aircraft, it should be noted that the pilots operating these flights are not direct employees of the Group. Rather, they are engaged as subcontractors.
It’s a fair point mods, pretty obvious that some people try to get these threads shut down. There is probably another way to manage it.
Anyway , back on topic, How many subsidiary’s are there now anyway?

They aren’t pilots. It’s so obvious. No pilot argues for lesser conditions and spreads fear/misinformation.
get rid of the clowns.
kind of funny they’re SO desperate now.
Must be time for some to start a new account and keep trolling.

Given we are a small fish in the aviation pond, have any bigger fish merged any multi subsidiary AOCs? Granted-CASA can be a different beast.
Are there any learnings we can make/any reason to go against the tide so to speak?
