Thanks Liverpool
Many thanks to the controller in Liverpool Approach who contacted Valley by landline, when I couldn't establish contact today whilst routing LPL to Caernarfon, and got a clear height for me to traverse the Straits, (as well as Valley's new frequency!). I had checked the Notams, but missed the frequency change. Dohh!!

I'd like to add my thanks to the Warton LARS folks for pointing out my impending violation of the Class A "fillet" at 2000' NW of LPL, while on the way to Caernafon.
If we had that level of service throughout the UK, level busts (by GA aircraft at least) would be almost eliminated, I reckon...
