Have heard they are closing the mackay base down?? Is this in writing? Do you guys get to join the BNE base or are they in jeopardy too??

Yup Mky closing effective march i think.
Staff get put where there are vacancies or they have the option to resign.
Bne base not looking so secure either.

Are the closures connected to any QF short haul expansion?
Is some of the QF short haul base opening in WA going to have an impact on NatJet ops there too???

All I know is that Mackay is definately closig as of march the 5th and Qnatas-Link (Impulse 717's) will be overnightimg in Mackay.
Not too sure about the BNE base. Anyone know anything about that? Heard they are recruiting more staff for BNE. Is this true or just a rumour???
