I guess the other thread got deleted? I promised to report back.

The CAA have agreed that, for rotary pilots trying to make the requirements for the Military Bridging Package, P1 means P1, not pilot in command. I understand that fixed wing pilots will require pilot in command time.

Dr W - The reduced requirements for 'Experienced QSPs' seeking civil licences were agreed about a year ago. Basically they apply to those who have more than 2000 hours TT, plus other hours qualifications. There was doubt over the interpretation of 'P1' time on rotary wing aircraft - did that mean Pilot-in-Command or First Pilot?

Alex has had the kindness to clear this up with the Authority - and to the benefit of experienced RW pilots seeking ATPL(H). Please note that his organisation has helped very many pilots of all Services to qualify for civil licences and many people are very grateful to him and his colleagues for all their help.

Incidentally, I doubt whether JSP318 contains the information to which you refer - and CAP54 has been replaced by LASORS.
