Would anyone know why Gulf Air do not recruit male cabin crew not decending from the Middle East?

Although they did have some male European cabin crew recruited in the 70's/80's and an intake of Irish lads mid 90's, they have probably all left now and GF only recruit local men from the owner states (Bahrain/Oman/Abu Dhabi) The only reason they don't recruit local women is becuase it is not considered a respectable job for a good muslim girl of Gulf descent....

Hope that helps. I left in 96 so there may have been some male recruitment since then but i doubt it.

cheers

I think this also has to do with the fact that GF is under heavy pressure to hire locals as much as possible (CC and management).

I know Emirates and Qatar Airways employ male cabin crew, but I was mostly curious why Gulf Air doesn't.
